University Surgery Center, a client of the Mikkelborg firm, is a licensed outpatient surgery center located in Merced, California.

The surgery center's name derives from Merced being the distinguished location of the newest campus for the University of California.  U.C. Merced opened its doors in September 2005.

Built in 2002, the surgery center has 22,000 square feet of space, including seven operating or procedure rooms, areas for reception, administration, pre-operative preparation, and recovery. It's carefully designed interior has been selected to make patients feel as relaxed as possible.

University Surgery Center’s mission is to serve the medical community and general population by making healthcare available to all people. Everyone that enters the facility will be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
